This is the  Privacy Policy of BitBeirut and its affiliate companies (collectively, “BitBeirut”). This Privacy Policy describes our data practices regarding Personal Information (defined below).
This Privacy Policy also describes data protection rights and it applies to Personal Information collected through our website, located at https://www.bitbeirut.com (the “Site”), mobile application (“the “App”), or through our Bitcoin ATMs (collectively known as “Services”). This Privacy Policy does not apply to any Personal Information collected by third party websites or apps not operated by BitBeirut.
You are consenting to our use of your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy when accessing the Site and/or using our Services. Further, your access to and use of the Services is subject to BitBeirut Terms of Service located at https://www.bitbeirut.com/terms-of-service/.

Information BitBeirut collects About You

Personal Information You Provide
 “Personal Information” means any identifiable information including your name, address, email address, birth date, financial information, cell or land-line phone number, or any combination of information that could be used to identify you. We collect Personal Information that you choose to share with us when you interact with our Site, App, or Bitcoin ATM. The Personal Information that we collect can vary depending on which BitBeirut service you utilize:
-We collect your name, phone number, and a picture of you for all transactions when you use one of our ATM machines. You will be prompted to provide additional information depending on the amount of the proposed transaction. This information might include a selfie image, your government ID/driver’s license and a second form of ID. If you apply to host an ATM in your business, we ask you to provide Personal Information such as your name and phone number, as well as information about your store.
-BitBeirut uses this information to provide ATM operators with the needed information to undertake anti-money laundering and fraud prevention activities and know your customer reviews. We will be unable to onboard you or provide you with services/perform all our obligations under our agreement with you if you fail to provide Personal Information that we tell you is mandatory. BitBeirut will continue to use this information as necessary to effect transactions with you after you have been onboarded as a counterparty. We also receive data you submit to us through third-party websites, and obtain data about you from other sources including identity verification services, fraud prevention agencies, websites and other publicly accessible information about you.
-Your name,  email address and username are usually collected when you contact us on the Site, or through social media websites, with a question, a comment, or to sign up to receive communications about BitBeirut and its products and services from us. You can ask us to stop or start sending you such marketing messages at any time by writing, electronic messaging or calling us.

Automatically-Collected Information
We collect certain information automatically when you visit our Site, even if you do not register for an account on the Site. Collected information includes the following:
• your internet protocol (IP) address and location;
• referrer addresses;
• the type and version of your web browser;
• device identifiers including mobile advertising identifiers;
• your operating system; and
• information from your digital services.
We also record general statistical and tracking information including page views (hit counts). We use this data to optimize our Site, to improve visitors experience and for security and monitoring purposes. Additional data such as identifying your IP address might be collected to meet regulatory obligations such as verifying your residency status.

Location Data.
Location (e.g. latitude/longitude) data will be collected of your mobile device If you have given the app permission to access your location. Please adjust your settings in your mobile device to restrict the app’s access to your location data If you want to opt-out of the collection of your location data. Geolocation data may be used to enhance the Services when linked to the location of BitBeirut properties.
How We Use Your Personal Information
We will use your Personal Information to:
-Understand and strive to meet your needs and preferences in using our Services;
-Develop new and enhance existing service and product offerings;
-Manage and develop our business and operations;
-Carry out any actions for which we have received your consent;
-Prevent and investigate fraudulent or other criminal activity;
-To address service requests and resolve user questions; and 
-Meet legal and regulatory requirements.
We also reserve the right to use aggregated Personal Data to understand how our users use our Services, provided that those data cannot identify any individual.

How We Share Personal Data
We do not disclose your Personal Information to unaffiliated third parties except as provided in this Privacy Policy, as follows:
Service Providers. Your Personal Information may be disclosed, stored, and/or transferred (or otherwise made available) to third-party providers of services to assist us in running our business and to perform certain services and functions. These might including identification and background checks, cloud-based information hosting and maintenance, website hosting, record keeping, payment processing, transfer agent, email communication and customer support services, analytics, marketing, and advertising service providers, and to exchanges, trading platforms, and financial institutions. We use Facebook and Instagram to track visits to our Site. These examples are not exhaustive and we may use other vendors over time as well to help us run our business and provide services to you.
Affiliates. BitBeirut reserves the right to share certain Personal Information with its affiliates such as entity that controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with BitBeirut (examples of such entities include operators of BitBeirut ATMs and software partners). Our affiliates may use the Personal Information we share in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.
For Legal and Compliance Reasons. We and our service providers may disclose personal Information if we believe we are required to do so by law or to comply with legal or regulatory requirements, such as a warrant, subpoena, or other court order, or to prevent fraud or illegal activity, or as otherwise required or permitted by applicable domestic or international laws or legal processes. Your Personal Information may also be released in order to establish, exercise, or defend legal rights, as well as to investigate or prevent actual or suspected loss or harm to people or property.
In Connection with a Corporate Transaction. Your Personal Information may be shared with third parties in case of a business transaction. A business transaction might involve a merger or sale (including transfers made as part of insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings) involving all or part of BitBeirut,  part of a corporate reorganization, or stock or asset sale, or other change in corporate control. Your Personal Information may also be one of the transferred assets as part of the transaction or bankruptcy.
For Safety & Security. We may reveal your Personal Information to third parties, including law enforcement agencies, in order to protect the safety and security of our users or of any third party.
Cookies, Pixel Tags, and Similar Technologies
Our Site uses “cookies.” A cookie is a small amount of data, often including a unique identifier, which is sent to your browser from a website’s computers and stored on your computer’s hard drive. We use both “session” cookies and “persistent” cookies, as follows: Session cookies: We use session cookies to improve navigation on the Site and to collect aggregate statistical information. A session cookie expires when you close your browser. Our site uses “pixel tags”  which are small graphic images (also known as “tracer tags,” “web beacons,” or “single-pixel images”) – to  inform us about site utilization or to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns on our Site. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, pixel tags are embedded invisibly on our Site. Social Media Through our Site you have the opportunity to engage with our content on or through third-party social networking websites, plug-ins and applications. When you use these services, you may allow us to have access to certain information associated with your social media account (e.g., name, username, email address, profile picture and gender) to deliver the content or as part of the operation of the Site, plug-in or application.
Feedback, Questionnaires and Surveys. Our Site allows site visitors and customers to participate in surveys and questionnaires. We also encourage our users to provide feedback to us about our Site and our Services. if you choose to participate in these activities you will be prompted to provide additional Personal Information. This information with be removed when we aggregate information derived from survey and questionnaire information for monitoring or improving the use and appeal of this Site.

BitBeirut has no control over, does not review and is not responsible for the privacy policies of or content displayed on such other websites. BitBeirut is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites, and we encourage you to be aware when you leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects Personal Information.

We have put in place commercially-reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures in an effort to prevent unauthorized access to or disclosure of Personal Information, and we take reasonable steps to secure and safeguard this Information against loss, theft, and unauthorized use, disclosure, or modification. With that said, there is no such thing as 100% security of the networks, servers, and databases we operate or that are operated on our behalf. For example, email sent to or from the Site may not be secure.
